How You Opt In

11ts collects your explicit consent to receive SMS/text messages through the following methods:

  • Web Form Consent Checkbox: When you enter your phone number on our sign-in or event creation forms at www.11ts.life, you are presented with a clearly visible, separate consent checkbox (not pre-checked) that states:
    “I agree to receive SMS text messages from 11ts at this phone number for account verification and event notifications. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”

    This checkbox appears prominently within the form — it is not hidden in Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or fine print. Users must actively check the box before any SMS message is sent.

  • Phone Number Verification Dialog: When you choose to verify your identity via phone number, a dialog appears with a required SMS consent checkbox. You must check the box agreeing to receive SMS text messages before the verification code is sent. No SMS is sent without this explicit consent.
  • Inline Phone Disclosure: When entering a phone number on guest forms (e.g., event or venue creation), a clear disclosure is shown stating: “By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS text messages from 11ts for account verification and event notifications.”

You must actively check the consent checkbox to opt in. Consent is never pre-selected, pre-checked, or assumed. No SMS messages are sent until you explicitly agree. SMS consent is separate from our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — it is not bundled or hidden within other agreements.

Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of our service. You can use 11ts with email authentication without providing SMS consent.

What Messages You Will Receive

After opting in, you may receive the following types of SMS messages:

🔐 Account Verification

One-time passwords (OTP) to verify your identity when signing in.

Example: “Your 11ts verification code is: 123456. This code expires in 10 minutes.”

📅 Event Reminders

Reminders about upcoming events you have joined.

Example: “Reminder: Your event 'Yoga in the Park' starts tomorrow at 10 AM at Gallup Park.”

🔔 Event Updates

Important notifications about events (changes, cancellations).

Example: “Update: The location for 'Community Cleanup' has changed to Burns Park.”

⚠️ Security Alerts

Alerts about suspicious activity on your account.

Example: “A new device was used to sign in to your 11ts account. If this wasn't you, contact support.”

Message Frequency & Rates

Estimated Monthly Volume: Up to 1,000 messages (varies by user activity).

Message Frequency: Varies. Typically 1-5 messages per week per user, depending on event activity.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier will apply. Contact your carrier for pricing details.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time using any of these methods:

  • Reply STOP: Text STOP to any message from 11ts. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further SMS messages.
  • Account Settings: Manage your notification preferences in your profile settings.
  • Contact Support: Email support@11ts.life or call/text (810) 207-1127 to request opt-out.

After opting out of SMS, you can continue using 11ts with email authentication and email notifications. SMS consent is not required to use the service.
